چکیده
Introduction: Hidden hearing loss (HHL) is a type of auditory disorder that affects the neural processing and sensitivity in subjects with normal thresholds. Unlike central disorders, HHL happens when cochlea (the peripheral organ) affected. There are several known risk factors to which includes noise exposure, ototoxic drugs, neuropathies, age. Recent studies have shed light on this loss, its etiology, prevalence, how it can affect acuity humans. Methods: This paper covers current research regarding HHL, causes, different mechanisms involved disorder, diagnosis potential treatments related it. We will delve deeply into researches concerning HHL. 4 articles from 285 were selected focusing individuals bad speech intelligibility discussed paper. In addition, discussing effects exposure impaired not considered as study solely aims focus resulting 285. Results: Numerous literatures over decades suggested due degeneration cochlear ribbon synapses, or hair cells synapses without cell damage. Their association was noted times through study, whether we studying effect age, ototoxicity. all cases, no significant damage observed, thresholds recovered. However, decline amplitude Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) peak I nerve (AN) responses exposed compound action (CAP) measured certain drugs applied round window Guinea pigs. Conclusion: Most studies, proven synaptophysin major contributor induced, audiometric tests used help identify including Puretone audiometry background noise, ABR, CAP, Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission (DPOAE).

The most common cause of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is atherosclerotic vascular disease. PAD because of atherosclerosis is relatively highly prevalent, affecting >200 million people worldwide, including an estimated 8 to 10 million individuals in the United States alone. Atherosclerotic PAD is typically identified in the clinical setting when patients present with claudication or critica...
متن کاملCetacean Morbillivirus: Current Knowledge and Future Directions
We review the molecular and epidemiological characteristics of cetacean morbillivirus (CeMV) and the diagnosis and pathogenesis of associated disease, with six different strains detected in cetaceans worldwide. CeMV has caused epidemics with high mortality in odontocetes in Europe, the USA and Australia. It represents a distinct species within the Morbillivirus genus. Although most CeMV strains...

Traumatic events (including sexual abuse, domestic violence, elder abuse, and combat trauma) are associated with long-term physical and psychological effects. These events may influence patients’ health care experiences and engagement in preventative care. Although the term trauma-informed care (TIC) is widely used, it is not well understood how to apply this concept in daily health care practi...
متن کاملUnilateral Hearing Loss: Prevalence, Causes, Consequences and Available Remedies
Introduction: The prevalence of unilateral sensory neural hearing loss is 3 to 6 in every 1000 people and this prevalence will be about 3 to 5 percent by including conductive hearing loss. Studies have shown that people with unilateral hearing loss are having problems in speech and language development. Nowadays the available options for treatment and rehabilitation of people with unilateral he...
متن کاملAge-Related Vestibular Loss: Current Understanding and Future Research Directions
The vestibular system sub-serves a number of reflex and perceptual functions, comprising the peripheral apparatus, the vestibular nerve, the brainstem and cerebellar processing circuits, the thalamic relays, and the vestibular cerebral cortical network. This system provides signals of self-motion, important for gaze and postural control, and signals of traveled distance, for spatial orientation...
